Sidewalk from pier to town (Barbados)

I understand there is a nice sidewalk along the water that goes all the way to town from the pier (Bridgetown Cruise Terminal).

Has anyone taken a scooter on this walkway? How accessible is it?

We found the sidewalk was great. It is approximately a mile to the center on things. If you want to save on your batteries or if someone is walking with you, there is usually one of the multiple passenger taxis that can transport you. Just ask at the taxi line.

Last time I pushed into town, quite a push and when we got there it was not worth the effort and turned right around and went back to the port
