i cruised last Sept. When I got my new premier offers after i returned home, they came with 500 casino cash. And had several offers for 25pp cruise rate for a 7 day cruise and even a 10 day cruise. I usually book my cruises at the beginning of each year for spring or fall. I prefer fall. So after i received my new offers , again after my new offers after returning home from the Sept. cruise, my cash offer for premier dropped to 400 casino cash. Still had the 25pp offer that were not premiere. I still held off. My new offes for premier have now dropped to 300 casino cash. And i now have the getaway offers. last year the getaway offers that i got came with 400 casino cash, great offer that i took advantage of. My Sept cruise was a getaway offer from the casino. Now my casino cash on my getaway offer has dropped to 200! Dont mean to complain... still getting offers. But as i was probably cruising alone this year, the larger casino cash offers come in really handy.

Does anyone know why my comps are dropping? Will they continue to drop over the next few months to nothing?? I find it very odd. I wish i would have jumped on those 25pp cruise offers but i dont usually cruise in the jan to feb timeframe.

For years I would get a bounceback offer with drinks on us card from day one. Last few offers were reduced rate and small amount of onboard credit. I called and emailed oceans players club and they did say there are no more bouncebacks and the offer I got was the best they could do. Well so long to Carnival for me and back to the land based casinos where the comps are still good. It was fun while it lasted.

hmmm... don't really like their response to you.. but guess nothing i can do really.. I will probably just wait a while, because the offers in May for the getaways are not really anything i am interested in... thanks for the reply. Which is exactly why I haven't contacted them. I still don't see why they would drop my comps within 4 months of the last cruise and 3 months of the last offer... it seems like they are dropping each month... I won't be playing in the casino if my comps keep dropping...

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO cruzn buckeye: I like to play in the casino also. However, I don't make decisions on which cruise I'm going on based on offers from the people that run the casino. If a line has an offer that goes round trip from our homeport, to someplace where we want to go, then we will go. However, we will not fly someplace just to save a few hundred $$$ on a cruise. If we like the trip then we will take it. If not, then putting additional money at risk in the casino isn't worth it.

I find that there premier offers are not as good as they used to be. I used to get free interior cabins and $300 cash back. I would always pay $350 per person to upgrade to a balcony cabin. Now my premier offer is for a free interior, with no cash back and I have to pay $650 per person to upgrade to a balcony. I am Diamond on Carnival and my gambling has not changed. I have tried a new cruise line (Celebrity) and after two cruises, with very little gambling they gave me a free New Year's cruise which included a free balcony with the drink package. Only paid taxes $200 and gratuities.. Have two more cruises booked with them. Your casino points accumulate with them for 18 months and I am already getting $175 casino cash on each cruise, plus dinner in a specialty restaurant, 60 minutes wifi, and free drinks in casino.

I used to get bounce back offers and Premier cruises from CCL. Around a year ago the offers dried up. It is strange because the last Carnival cruise we sailed, we played more and at a higher rate than previously. We play blackjack and got ahead the first night and stayed ahead the entire cruise. By the last night we were playing $50.00 and up and tipping constantly with some tips as high as $25.00. It was after this cruise our offers dried up. I have since cruised NCL and never looked back. The entire cruise just seems to be better, especially the entertainment. Drinks are included everywhere on the ship and you can book as many free cruises as you want without waiting for a specific day. I have booked the Bliss 18 months ahead of when I want to cruise along with two other cruises. NCL IMHO does it right. CCL has the most ridiculous way of rating players that I have ever heard of. Adios CCL.

I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that my play on-board doesn’t make enough of a difference. I think the Ultra Cruise I just went on is my last gambling cruise with Carnival. I will sail lines based on itineraries. The offers are weaker, from ports too far away, with itineraries I have been to, during times I can’t go! Land casinos are a better deal. I can always get a free room in Vegas whenever I want.

For me, my serious gambling is done in land based casinos. The conditions on cruise ships just don't justify anything more than low stakes and just having fun, wasting time. I have begged both CCL and NCL to open a double deck $50.00 blackjack game and it's just not going to happen.

I won’t play at 6/5 tables and have, on occasion, had them open a 3/2 $25 table just for me. That, plus the fact that seems to be no rhyme nor reason to the offers and offer categories plus the frequent inability to get a drink within 10 minutes of ordering one (if you can even get a waiter) pushed me over the edge. I have reminded my husband to remind ME if I ever start to be seduced by a premier offer ever again.
