Celebrity Equinox Dining

Questions regarding dining on the Equinox...DH wants to dress casual and dine in the Oceanview for breakfasts and dinners more than the Silhouette Dining Room and I'm the complete opposite. What are the pros and cons for both (if any)? Are there theme nights(Mexican/Italian, etc.) in the restaurants? Is lobster an option in Silhouette?

What was your favorite appetizer, entree, dessert, and specialty beverage served in Silhouette? What about Oceanview? Did you have preference for breakfasts, lunches and dinners? Whuch other free dining restaurants (and /or bars if you had to choose one) did you enjoy the most on your cruise?

Love hearing others recommendations, thank you!

Casual dress dining in any venue for any meal is perfectly acceptable and very common. Celebrity no longer has formal nights or formal dress suggestions for any venue. The choice IMO would be having wait service in the MDR or self serve in the buffet. Both venues would be good choices IMO for any meal depending on daily menu. The Mast Grill and Spa Cafe offer good alternatives as complimentary venues, but typically as lunch alternatives. If you are interested, Equinox also has several specialty restaurants for a fee that are very good.

I prefer dining room but if u go to ocean view it is a lot faster expect 2 to 3 hours for dinner in dining room and yes they did have lobster 1 night

Not being critical, and clearly the MDR is longer than the buffet would be, but in our experience none of the dining venues required 3 hours for service, including the specialty restaurants. Maybe our experience was just different, but none of the venues required more than about 2 hours - except Murano which was a little longer one night. Maybe others can confirm. :)

We enjoyed both. Dinner the majority of the nights we did MDR. If you have a table for 2 you can be out in an hour, unless you'd like to take longer. Larger tables take longer and you are at the mercy of the other dinners. And you can dress pretty much how you want, just no shorts and too casual of t-shirts.

We only did MDR one or two lunches, again very good just takes longer. We really enjoyed breakfast and lunches in the buffet. Everyone can get exactly what and how much they want.
