Thanks! We cruise in January, giving two more months for more improvements.

We were in St Thomas aboard the Norwegian Dawn on November 11th. You could see some damage to the port buildings but everything ran smooth. Since it was a last minute change in itinerary for us (found out the night before), we had no excursions booked.

Hubby walked off the ship and over to the the Avis rent a car. Got us a small car and we headed for a drive to Mountain Top (please do not mistake this for Paradise Point). Drive was smooth and since we had been there last year we knew our way around. The place was pretty empty and they had no electricity in the shop. 1/2 of the building was blocked off with items not for sale. They told us that the insurance company was taking care of it. The other half of the shop was open. Of course the most important parts of Mountain Top (The views and the Banana Daiquiris) were open. The deck held up well in the storm. No damage and the views were just as beautiful as always. The Daiquiris were excellent.

We drove back down the mountain and into Charlotte Amalie for lunch and shopping. Pretty much every place was open for business and had power. Their internet was a bit spotty so charging anything could be an issue. One lady said it was hit and miss. So ask before you gather up a bunch of souvenirs and only have a credit card to pay for it

QM2 has added St Thomas back for Dec 26.
