New Orleans Parking

Is parking at the port just as safe as parking at Fulton Garage? We are driving home the same day that we get off the ship and are on a time crunch. We will be walking off with our luggage and heading out as quick as we can. For this reason, we prefer convenience over price when it comes to parking. I recently heard of someone who said that they have had issues with their vehicle being broken into or damaged all 4 times when parking right at the port. Is this common there? Is the Fulton Garage more supervised? What is your recommendation?

We have parked at the port both times we sailed out of New Orleans and have had no problems.

Never had an issue either and we've parked there 6 or 7 times, maybe more.

I’ve had the same experience as those above. Parked at the port multiple times and never had a problem. Also researched a lot before each trip and this is the first time I’ve heard of someone having a problem.
