Moorea lagoon tour - which operator?

Hi,

Me and my mother are visiting Moorea for the second time in early February 2019 with Oceania Marina.

Last time we were there I took a lagoon-tour with motu picnic with Hiro´s tours. I found it touristic but ok, what I enjoyed most was the time in the water with the sharks and the stingrays.

This time we are looking to do something similar, but I´ve read some reviews saying that Hiro´s tours are not good anymore - some reviews were saying it was awful and best to avoid.

I would therefore warmly welcome any advice on tour operators in Moorea that you have tried, and of course, please also tell me if there are other operators that are best avoided. :)

It was a few years ago but we did this one with Albert tours : http://www.albert-transport.net/excursion_nautique_us.php?nx=NAU Had a great day . First stop was with the sharks. The boat stopped and we were surrounded by 20 or so black tip sharks. My first thought was , I hope they got the memo about not eating the tourists. Then feeding the rays followed by lunch on a motu .

If you are looking for good snorkeling, but not with the rays and the sharks, consider a day pass at the Hilton. Their lagoon is only about 5 feet deep with spectacular snorkeling. They charge about $90 per person which includes lunch, use of the pool beach, kayaks, stand up paddleboards and snorkel gear. Taxi would probably be about $20 each way from the tender location. They don't want $$ in advance which is nice since the time of year you are going could be very wet.
