They don’t have this on every cruise, but when they do, it is spectacular. It is a lunch, and costs extra but worth it. They serve some very high end wines matched with delicious food. Usually on cruises with a lot of sea days. If your cruise has one, they will let you know once onboard.

We have attended the wine pairing lunches a few times and really enjoy it. The cost is (if I remember correctly) $169/person and you can pay for it with on board credits. There will be plenty of time to sign up - just read your daily Passages (you can also ask the Head Sommelier about it).

53 - The cost seems to vary between USD 140 and USD 175, depending upon the wines selected by the Head Sommelier on the particular ship. The one unfortunate variable is that a certain number of passengers must sign up for the lunch in order for it to occur. Sadly, on our last two Regent cruises, there were not sufficient "takers"; so the event was cancelled. Lesson: if you are interested in the lunch, try to get others to sign up, such as your team members for Trivia.

If these wine dinners are anything like the one on Oceania (sister company) and they should be better on Regent it's something not to be missed. Rick

Not really too much like dinner in La Reserve on Oceania. I actually like La Reserve better - much better venue. Regent's Connoissuer wine lunch is lovely and some of their wines are probably better than on Oceania.

Totally different, but not to be missed. The F&b manager or the sommelier introduces each wine. It is wine focused, with food to go along as an appropriate companion.

IMO, some are better than others (although the food is always great). One sommelier had bottles with the label covered and people tried to guess what type of wine we were drinking. It was a bit more fun - at least for us. Dinner in La Reserve, OTOH, was a more upscale experience. It should be noted that Oceania's La Reserve (only open for wine dinners) is partnered with Wine Spectator, which, IMO, is a step above being a sommelier on Regent (with a few exceptions).
