35 day round trip or 2 x14 day fly cruise?

Agree, it's pot luck.

We've had bigger swells just of the coast of Portugal when cruising to the Canaries or Med than we had mid Atlantic.

 

Also, there's not always a direct link between wind speed and sea conditions. The windiest we've had was a force 12 in the Golfe of Lion in the Med one night on Navigator or the Seas. It's often windy there if the Mistral and Tramontane winds are blowing but the ship wasn't moving around too much at all.
