Just off Paradise

Had a pretty good cruise with a major mistake my me and a few by CCL. In over 30 cruises I never forgot my passport. Until now! Took my daughter 40 minutes to get it to the terminal. That won't happen again!

They have a smoking section by the casino bar with 7, count 'em, 7 stools. The shelf across from that had also been smoking and now is not.

Got the Philly steak and cheese from room service which was really good! They were prompt, under 20 minutes and the food was hot.

Had to ask for a robe. Room steward was great. Did a fabulous job.

Had eggs Benedict in MDR twice and the hollandaise sauce on the side wasn't hot. A "Caribbean" fish dish was HORRIBLE. Asked for a cold Caesar and received it cold. Had good service in MDR besides that. Food on Lido was all hot. Deli guy made a great Reuben--lots of meat and he cooked it longer, just like I asked.

The '80's Pop show was a video with 3 dancers jumping around. I and many others left. They had a Cuban themed show which was mostly in Spanish which was very good, like the old days.

Battery in my watch died on day 2 so I ended up buying a $10 watch. The store on board didn't have batteries and on shore 3 jewelry stores didn't either.

The time of the VIFP party was 5pm on last sea day. Got another invitation but didn't read it. The time had been changed to 1pm so I missed it.

Too many long announcements by Matt whom I never saw.

All staff were very friendly and called me by name most of the time.

One of the trivia games was won with 8 out of 20. Questions were completely obscure.

Had fun as usual. Looking forward to trying Paradise again after the remodel early next year.

Got to the parking lot to go home and my battery was dead! The guy there jumped it for me. I had to get a new battery. AAA said something had been left on. I didn't shut my trunk and it's possible the guy there didn't get it closed right but no lights were on, no doors open. Oh well.

Sounds like you had your "usual" GREAT time aboard our favorite ship, "Paradise". So sorry to hear about your passport, but glad you live relatively close, and could get it without too much trouble.

Sorry I couldn't join you on this one, but I'm sure there will be many more.

See you aboard!

"SKY"

Ken
