2020 (some?) up on PG website

I notice that May 2020 is missing entirely. Since there's Fiji-Bali ending in late April, and Fiji-Societies starting in early June, I'm guessing there's a drydock in there. Has this been announced? Sorry they couldn't fit an itinerary or two in the middle, since that would be our 40th anniversary.

We were on the ship last week. They provided dates for 2020 except for November which they said had not yet been finalized. The ship is going into drydock in Bali, hence the cruise to and then from Bali.

There's a trip *to* Bali, but none *from* Bali, at least not listed now. There's Fiji-Bali, April 11-27th, then Fiji-Societies, starting June 6th. That leaves April 28th-June 5th blank, 38 days.

FWIW,  there is a "from" Bali cruise; there is a 17 night full ship charter on the Paul Gauguin from Bali to Fiji (20 May 2020 to 6 Jun 2020)

That's definitely FWIW, which is nothing.  Since it's a charter.  I knew about this, but how does that help? Unless it were a publicly-advertised trip.

Based on your experience, is there much of a chance for the June 6 sailing date to slip? We are looking at the sailing from that date as we haven’t yet been to Fiji. What do others have to say about Fiji islands and on the PG (less on the ship, we have been on it 7 times, more on the experience in Fiji vs the typical itineraries that are the Society Islands)?

Also so a bit off topic but what are the cabins like on the back of the ship (rear, aft cabins) on deck 7? Do you get much cigarette smoke from La Palatte drifting down?

Fiji is a great place for a land visit but not so much for a cruise stop.  The cruise ports are far from good snorkeling and diving.  Lots of sea time between Fiji and getting back to French Polynesia.  We were on the PG with a stop in Fiji on the way back from Australia and it was not great.  We have also been to Fiji for a 2 week land based stay and it was spectacular.  We did a 6 night Blue Lagoon Cruise as well in Fiji which is geared for snorkeling.

Love the aft cabins..the views, larger balcony and room..easy access to la palette for morning coffee and reading on the deck outside..yes to smoking there and never a problem  or have we ever smelled smoke below...aft cabins go first...all the aft cabins are already gone for our oct 2020 cruise!
