Disembarkation From the Vista

When I cruised the Vista recently...the last zone(s) were listed at 10:30am.... This was on the debarkation memo. Now I will point out...those are projected times. In my case our ship began disembarkation early so I am pretty certain...regardless of your time....You will hear Matt Mitchum (CD) giving a last call for disembarking whenever they are at that point.

If you want to get off as late as possible...I would recommend going to Guest Services and request the latest zone number. You won't know what your actual zone is until the last day of your cruise. Also remember your luggage will be placed in the zone number on your bag tag. so if you decide not to question your zone and be one of the last off....you may be on a hunting mission for your luggage.

What is a good place for an enjoying last day breakfast ?

buffet or dining room.

Breakfast stops serving by 9am so go early.

You gotta be outta your cabin by 8am. (we leave our carry ons in there wwhile we do breakfast.

after breakfast grab your carry on and go sit and wait somewhere til you are called off

Unless things have recently changed, the only place to get breakfast on Debarkation morning is the buffet. The MDR is not open.

This is stupid. No one is walking around "enforcing" zone numbers (I'm sorry sir, you have Zone #3, and they called that an hour ago, SECURITY!, escort this person off the ship immediately!).

Take whatever zone # they give you, then wait till they start calling for any remaining guests to leave. No one cares what your zone # is at that point.

What you say is partially true... if you're doing self-debarkation, i.e. carrying off your own bags. If however you are putting them out the night before to be collected and you'll pick them up in the morning, then it makes a big difference.

Bags are placed in the terminal by zone. As each zone clears out, they'll eventually move the leftovers to a gathering spot... and then trying to find your suitcases among the maze can definitely be challenging. So the earlier poster's suggestion was a good one- better to have a later zone tag for your luggage if you're not planning on carrying off your own luggage.

And now I hope you feel badly for calling someone's comment stupid!

Exactly.... FYI..The Miami terminal is like a airline carousel now. They have several carousels in the terminal. No more grouping bags in sections. When you disembark you look for a carousel that has your zone number on it. I would imagine they would eventually pull bags off....but in all honesty if they keep on feeding bags onto the carousel not sure how they can control it.

Ahh- I didn't know that. I sail out of Galveston and was anticipating (very excitedly!) for Vista's arrival there!
