Cabins located near elevators on Marina

Does anyone have any experience of the cabins located near the elevators on the Marina? I am looking at cabins that open out to the 4 forward elevators and concerned that there may be noise from that area transferring to the cabins (eg people waiting around for the elevators to arrive, "dings" as the elevator arrives at that deck etc). Are the cabins on Marina well insulated from outside noise?

VERY well insulated.

You won't hear anything once your cabin door is closed.

Not quite ‘anything’. We were almost opposite a crew service door on Marina and annoyingly we could hear it banging everytime the crew used it. As there had been an item in Currents asking for passengers to show respect by not slamming their stateroom door I commented in the mid cruise questionnaire. We had a visit from a n Officer and the matter was addressed for most of the time - we did occasionally still hear it. JM

The OP refers to the guest elevators rather than the crew service door.

In relation to the elevators, I have had cabins very near them and had no noise whatsoever.

if people are near your door talking you WILL hear them

no matter where the cabin is located

Unless they linger there it does not last long though

We sailed once on Marina, and twice on Riviera. When our door was closed, no noise. Very quiet. No sounds from other staterooms, either. Pretty good, I think!

Noise??? no they are the best for access.... no looooong passages to walk "Ding" never heard a Ding they do not ding.

If so, and if you are concerned about the possibility, why not take a room a few doors down and not worry about it?

in the search function, type in Cabin 10032, and read the threads. We found it VERY noisy at night, others didn't hear a thing!

We were in 8048 in June. We heard our neighbours unpacking late on embarkation day but never anything from the elevators. Wife asked me to book the same cabin on our cruise.
