Viking Duro Gratuities

Are tips on Viking's Duro River cruises still cash only or can they be paid via credit card? I am trying to determine how many Euros to take.

New in 2018, a 15 E pp is charged to shipboard account. No longer have to tip in cash. This charge is shared among the onboard staff including program director, waitstaff, stateroom attendant, bus driver.

Local guides are tipped at the end of of each tour 2E pp

Good friends of ours are currently on the Osfrid as well, and they seem to be having a fantastic time - weather be damned!

Really want to do this cruise soon :)

I booked a Douro cruise on a new boat [Helgrim] as a solo traveller last January for March 2019. The price was £2442.

A few days ago my air travel details were released. The price is now £2987. An increase of £545.50.

I was not notified of any price increase. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have just phoned Viking and there was a mistake on the invoice. They had not increased the price. Apologies to Viking!
