Michael's Club

Can anyone tell me what drinks are available to grab and go from the cooler in Michael's? Anything alcoholic besides beer?

Not all ships have a "grab and go" cooler. When you are a ship with a cooler like that, there will be bottled waters, soft drinks as well as beer.

Eclipse, as an example, does not have a "grab and go" cooler.

Nor does Equinox.

Bummer, then they should stock your mini bar for free with those same items.

What ship do?

Only Reflection and Silly have the coolers. On other ships I've not had any trouble getting the same things available in the coolers from the bartender or concierge.

There is a wall of coolers on Silhouette and Reflection that are accessible to anyone. The other 3 S class and all the M class ships do not have this feature in Michael's.

Took a picture aboard Silhouette... LOVED this feature. Even though we had a drink package the convenience of the Michael's Club cooler was really nice....no wait...literally grab and GO. REALLY a nice surprise.

I have a cruise booked on Equinox this time, again in a CS. I didn't realize it wouldn't have a cooler until reading this.

Thanks for the info. I realize I can go to a bar. I was just hoping I could get something unopened to put in my cabin to consume later. At the bars they usually open it for you unless it is water.

You can get soda, beer and water and bring it back to your cabin and put it in the mini fridge for later use. Just ask your cabin steward or butler if in a suite to empty it when you first board.

The bartenders will not open it if you request it.

Butlers do not bring glasses of wine to your cabin. It's possible if you are in a higher end suite, but it is not a task that is normally done. Drinks ordered to your room are through room service and are charged to your account. Drink packages cannot be used for room service or the mini-bar.

High end suites have the mini-bar stocked with beer, soda and water in addition to 2 bottles of liquor and mixers.

I take soda, beer, and water back for my minibar all the time. Just make sure to ask them not to open it. I have never had a problem on Celebrity. Princess is a different story.

I have had my Butler offer to bring us drinks when staying in a Sky Suite when he realizes that we have a Premium Drink Package. He does supplies us with water without me asking. I do not take it up on his offer for the drinks, because I do not mind getting my own. I know they are busy. Perhaps I did once.

Yes, I have heard of this being done, but it is not an offered amenity of butler service and not a common task for a butler to do. Some people luck out with a butler who will go above and beyond, while other butlers will politely tell you that it is something they cannot do.

On solstice now (July 20) and there is no grab and go cooler in Michaels Club unless it is somehow closed and not visible. Additionally the concierge went out of her way to tell us not to take any drink out of the lounge. After all I’ve read about MC I was very disappointed.

I was on a trip where we were asked not to remove alcohol but was ok to take water and soft drinks. Another trip on the same ship with same MC there were no restrictions. I think it had something to do with the F&B manager. I have to say the restricted trip was a couple of years ago.

On the Connie a few months ago, a repo with no beverage package perk. We were able to take anything out of MC, wine, cocktails, juice, beer, water. It is crazy that it depends on who the Suite Mgr or MCC are.

Last year, I was in MC and asked for unopened beers to take back to the cabin. Our butler was standing nearby, came over and insisted he take the bottles back to the cabin for us. Then asked if he could bring us a cheese tray or shrimp cocktail to go with the beers.

I have not been on the Solstice but have been in Michael's Club on all of the other S-class ships and we have always taken drinks from MC. Most recently on the Silhouette we went to MC most every day to get a glass of wine to take back to our room to enjoy while getting ready for dinner. They had the wine we preferred. On two occasions we left with martini's to take to a friends Celebrity suite. We did this openly and nothing was ever said.

Off the Soltice last month...No issue taking drinks out and to stateroom.. when they didn't have an energy drink I wanted the concierge called the bartender to go find the drinks in another location on ship and to get multiple cans to take to stateroom.. Great service...

When the ice bar and casino bar had lineups 12 deep on the Reflection around dinner time or after shows I would just run over to MC and grab myself a beer out of the cooler, great feature.

Never had an issue taking drinks from MC on any ship, including recently on Solstice.
