Does Star Clippers apply its no-private-alcohol policy to wine in the privacy of one's cabin? Thirsty minds want to know.

The official word is no alcohol is to be brought on board but no one was looking through luggage nor through bags when one returned from shore where duty-free alcohol was available (March 15-22, Royal Clipper). The paperwork states they will hold any duty-free alcohol for you and return it when you disembark.
