Renaissance Resort ------- Day Pass

We were walking around the shops & saw a sign leading up the stairs that read Infinity Beach Club so we went to check it out. We asked the bartender if they took day trippers, she said yes, told us the fee, so we walked back to the ship, got our bathing suits, etc. & walked back paid her & hung out all day.

I uploaded a couple of pictures, but they had limits on the size so this was the best I could do. It gives you an idea just how far from the ship it is.

Where the water changes color is where it falls into the sea, but there's a sea wall you can hang onto & look over. Its pretty cool.

I will be in Port next month. Is this place good for kids as well? I like that it is close to the pier. Is there a time line as to how long you can stay?

It's perfect for kids. They can't wander out of your sight & there's plenty of iguana's (very friendy, don't bite and they have no teeth) for them to play with & feed if they want. Folks were giving them mango's & lettuce from their burgers. The water does get deep the further to the wall you go though, it was over my head. No timeline, about a 10 minute walk from the ship, if that. Come when you want, leave when you want.

You can see it from the ship so check it out & see if its something you'd enjoy. There was only about 10 people there when we went so it felt really private.

Its mostly beach, but there's an infinity pool right next to it for those who don't like sand.

Sounds perfect, thank you! I just got a response back from the hotel and it is $25pp and can do advance reservations. Thinks we will do this. :)

Very strange....here is the response I got from the Renaissance.

"We are open for daypasses as of 10am to 6pm. The Day Passes however, are sold based upon availability.

These are available at US$40.00 per person and includes a lunchbox, beach towel, showers and other facilities.

The lunchbox consists of a sandwich, small salad, fruit salad, crisps and a small pastry."

Which is fine by us, but I wonder about the discrepancy.

Yes very strange. I emailed the address I was told for a reservation and a gentlemen. Got back to me with the information you just quoted. I emailed back asking about the price discrepancies. Let you know what he says. The room for a day rates aren't bad. There is 4 of us. I was looking at doing that as. well. Seems as though the prices from people who have previously been there are different as well?

I emailed the reservations email above and I received this message from Dwayne La Pas - Manager B&F Operations and he said the information I received for the $25 day pass was incorrect. It is $40 per person includes lunch box (fruit salad, small salad, sandwich, crisps and a small pasty), towel, showers and other facilities. Day pass use 10am to 6pm.

WOW, we just got our credit card bill for the trip, we paid $10pp, got a chair & a towel, sat under an umbrella. Seems now that word has gotten out their raising their rates & throwing in lunch.

Thats my thought and I have seen conflicting posts about 40 and 20 pp. I go in few weeks. If I do go there, I will be sure to post what I paid. I am also wondering if advance reservations is different than just walking to the resort the day of? We shall see.

I just spoke to the manager again and asked if there was a way to not do the box lunched since my daughter is a bit finicky.... he responded yes and the price is $20 per adult and $10 for children 5 to 12 yrs. I made our reservation and will be there in little over a week. 😊

Just got back from our cruise this past weekend. The Renaissance hotel was great. The place was Quiet and we practically had the all beach to ourselves. It was 20 per adult and 10 per child with no lunch box. Gave you towels and there were plenty of chairs and shade. I am going to try and post a picture.

Did you walk there from the ship and if so, about how far/how long? We're only in port in the PM so we're looking for something close and easy.

Yes, we walked from port. You take a right out of port and follow the walkway along the waterfront and will see signs. It was a quick walk maybe 5 min. I wasn't Paying attention, but it is very close and can see the hotel from the ship.

Thanks - that's perfect. For reservations, did you just use the email listed in your prior post? You said you talked to Dwayne. Does he have a direct line or email?
