We had a 6 and 11 year old that we took on a island history tour that included the John watling rum distillery and ended downtown Nassau. If you’re on the carnival, it’s one of their shore excursions.

One thing I forgot to include was that, they stop by some historical landmarks, like an old stone fort looking overlooking one of the bays that probably was affixed with a cannon long ago, a flea market, Atlantis resort (just the outside), and a beach near the fish fry.

Nassau is very easy to do on your own, walking tours, or just grab a taxi. We are a beach loving family, so we just do resort day passes.

The Melia is good or the Ardastra Gardens and Zoo.
