My friend was on the Anthem last year and recently found $225 in casino chips, he forgot to cash them out.

I am going on the Adventure soon and the Anthem next year, not him.

Can I cash them in for him on one of those cruises?

Hi Casino Player, I cruised with you and Your wife (mrs casino player) back in 2009 on the Carnival Dream!

I'm still cruising, going on cruise #57 next month!

Thanks for the info and keep on cruisin!

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO TVLady3: We both remember you. My wife, Rosalie, sends her very best wishes. We cruised on the Carnival Dream. We went to the first ever Carnival Brunch which are held on sea days. They are now called Sea Day Brunch. They are better than when we went. We keep on cruisin. We haven't quite made it to #57 as yet. Our next cruise is #27.

The casino chips do say Anthem of the seas on them, can I still cash them in on the Adventure?

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO TV Lady3: You could even play casino games using those chips if you wanted to. Personally, I like to save chips from ships I have played in the casino. Even from those I haven't played in the casino.

This is an update about those chips.

I was not able to cash them in on the Adventure of the seas last August.

They wanted to much information, like past cruisers names, dates of their sailing and then they would contact Miami headquarters for their ok and it could take days.

Well,  I'll be on the Anthem next week and they better honor these chips, they say Anthem of the Seas right on them!

Did you say anything before you tried to cash them in?  If you mentioned the situation upfront to the cashier then that may caused the extra scrutiny, or if you went in as soon the casino opened on the first day.

Yes, Idid tell them upfront and I did go the first night.

well in a few days I'll be on the Anthem , I wonder if I should wait a day or two before I go to the cage. Any thoughts?

You shouldn't have an issue since the chips are from the Anthem.

Going the first night wouldn't have been an issue as many people play table games and cash in.  If you went as soon as they opened, that's a little bit of different scenario.

I think you telling them the situation upfront probably caused the extra scrutiny on the Adventure.

Agreed with the above...don't tell them anything.  And don't be the first one on line cashing in chips.  Just at some point during the cruise, pop by the cashier, and put the chips on the counter.  There should be no issue or questions at all, and they will give you your cash.

Unless the Anthem has changed chips in the last year you will not have a problem.  Just use them like you would any chip, don’t have to say anything.  While it screws up the books for them a little I did not have a problem.  I can understand the adventure not wanting to take them because they are marked Anthem and they would have had even more paperwork moving them between ships.   Go to the roulette table and put them all between 29 and thirty. 😇
