Fresh seafood

Someone suggested while on a Mexican Rivera cruise that you can get a cab and have them take you to a fresh seafood market, buy some seafood and bring you to a restaurant to cook it. Has anyone ever done this and did it come out OK?

Thinking some more on this.

Could do possibly do this at the Mazatlan Mercado. But most places have the same fish or will run downstairs and get it for you. The most expensive dish we’ve had was shrimp. Total bill was about $12US, two entrees, two sodas and tip.

In Cabo, many of the restaurants will cook your catch for $8, including rice, beans etc but you have to fish for it. Not worth finding the fish market etc.

In Ensenada there are several restaurants next to the fish market, but they could run next door and get it for you.

A block above the Sam’s Club in PV is the Mercado. Meat, fish etc inside. Lots of small restaurants outside.

Wherever you go ask beforehand if they will do this and the cost. Tips go into the jar ‘Propio’.

Why are you wanting to do this?
