The Purpose of our Honeymoon & Wedding Cruise Forums -- Guidelines for Participation

The purpose of our Honeymoon & Wedding Cruise forum is to provide a place for CRUISERS to share their personal experiences with other cruisers. This means that we are looking for those who have actually used a service to report back from their cruise -- in an effort to help others select a service or company or learn what they can do for their event.

We'd like to clarify a few of our guidelines for posting in these forums:

Local Experts

If you are a local expert, your participation on the forums must be general in nature. You may not recommend local businesses or services, etc. We define a "local expert" as someone who either LIVES IN or KNOWS A GREAT DEAL ABOUT (this will be determined at the sole discretion of Cruise Critic Management) a port of call. Local experts may not ask members to email them for information.

Businesses/Guides/Transportation Companies

We do not allow advertising on Cruise Critic. Period. That means you cannot offer your services, post information about your services, tours, include emails addresses, ask people to email you for information, or otherwise conduct any customer-service business on the forums.

Cruisers

We welcome you to share your first-hand experiences with wedding and honeymoon cruises. But please do not "spam" the forum. Please only reply to a request for information about services you used -- do not start a new thread. Please do not post that you have "booked" a service, etc.

We're serious about providing this resource for cruisers. We're specifically looking for the true sharing of information between those who have actually booked services, used the service, and been involved in the process.

One note: Reviews of your entire wedding/honeymoon/cruise are welcome. Here's an example: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1036672

New Members

If you are brand new to the forum and your first posts are recommendations for a company, service, etc., they will probably be removed. We call these "one-post wonders". We're letting you know that up front.

Businesses/Guides/Transportation Services who PRETEND TO BE MEMBERS and post FAKE REVIEWS

We take serious your intent to deceive our members. Don't post fake reviews.

Other Websites Please don't recommend that our members visit other related sites where advertising *is* allowed.

Cruise Critic reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove any posting, suspend the posting privileges of any member, censor any company name and ban any IP address from accessing our community without prior notification.
