Pool Deck Parties in Caribbean

Wondering if when the QM2 arrives in Caribbean they have any parties on the pool deck, the other cruise ships we have been on have all had these with local steel bands being brought on board, but by reading through the lines it seems that any organised events take place inside. Is the pool area suitable for such events.

I went on a 10 day Carribean last year and what they schedule is a big sail way party (up on the pool deck) from one of the islands. We were slated to do this in Barbadoes but it had to be moved to the Queens Room due to rain. So they had everyone in the very formal ballroom doing Carribean line dancing (a class is taught during the day) - stuff like the "Dollar Dance" all the Village People songs as well as that RCCL pool deck classic: "Who Let the Dogs Out." Hopefully you will have the same band in the disco and for this party was had last time - they were quite good.

Usually, there are sail away parties from each port on the Caribbean cruises. Also, the Pirates Ball takes place on the aft deck outside.

On QM2? What sailing was that on? We were ten days and only one was scheduled. And the Pirates Ball as well as the sail away party were held in the Queens Room.

On the March 9 cruise we had a Tropical Deck Party which was followed by a deck buffet from 11 pm to 11:30 pm. There was also a Sail Away party from St. Martin.
