Water Taxi to Atlantis - Don't do it

We just experienced the water taxi to Atlantis and though somewhat fun, it was extremely difficult to arrange and get to. It is a far walk to the "dock" where they wait. We had someone in our party that was in a wheelchair and mobility challenged. She was fully able to walk short distances and traverse basic areas but the heat and wait is just not worth it. Even without any mobility issues, the water taxi drops you off several blocks from Atlantis and the signs pointing to the entrance are not provided at all. TAKE A STANDARD TAXI TO ATLANTIS by all means. It is the same price and they drop you off at the main ticket holder entrance.

I agree, not to mention how full they let that water taxi get

As a one time experience perfect , otherwise take a regular taxi its even faster

Too many on water taxi and smell of fuel doesn't help! Take a regular taxi.

i had a good experience on the water taxi to Paradise Island/Atlantis... i was going to the free beach out that way.. I bought the ticket in the street and had no issues. 

Wow...  all I can say is wow.   The ferry is well signed and staff along the way to tell you which way to go.   It's less that 2 blocks from Marina Village and the Coral Tower entrance.   

Being mobility challenged may make it uncomfortable, but not impossible.   

These boats may not look like much but they are licensed, registered and inspected each year,  and given a capacity number as well.  These are not luxury boats... just a means of transportation an a living for captain and crew.

Lighten up

I have taken it just for the ride. I may do so again in a week or so on our next trip. I drive every day. I only get that close to turquoise colored waters once in a while.
