Hello,

Not sure where Belle is.

I'm disappointed, I stayed the same. Still have the 3 lbs. I gained on my cruise, boo hoo.

Hubby and I had a couple of lunches out and a big dinner out 1 night. And, I think I'm not drinking enough water.

Back to the drawing board as they say.

Hope everyone else did better.

Diana

Hey guys. Hope Belle is ok. Anyone have contact with her outside of here? That’s kind of irritating about CC that you can’t DM others.

Anyway, yes, thanks much Diana! I’m down 1 this week.

Staying sane is far better than a gain! So don’t worry about it guys. I’m still impressed at the 3lbs on a cruise Diana. Not bad for a week of pretty much whatever you want! [emoji846]

Well, I’ll check back later this wkend to see how everyone else is doing.

Take care and have a great Friday.

Diana, thanks for starting the thread. I hope that Belle is okay.

Staying the same is better than a gain. Gaining only three pounds on a cruise is great. I gained five on my July cruise and I am still trying to get it off.

I am down .2 this week. Not very good but I'll take it!

Mike, congrats on your loss.

Cruises42, know it's frustrating not to lose. We'll try to do better for next week.

Mike, congrats on the loss. My biggest vacation victory was last year when we were on vacation for 5 weeks: 3 week cruise then 2 weeks in Europe. I only gained 5 lbs.

Rose, great loss.

I do hope Belle is ok. I don't have contact with her other than here.

I really got my exercise in yesterday and today (on top of going to the gym). We finally had our new house's backyard landscaped.

I cleaned the tile floors now that we are not tracking yard dirt in the house. Between yesterday and today it took me 3 hours.......wasn't fun but at least I burned some extra calories. Hopefully it shows on the scale next Thursday.

Have a good day. Diana

Thank you Diana for starting the Thursday weigh-in. Thank you ALL

worrying about me. So sweet of you all.

I'm fine took a last minute visit for a few days. I didn't weigh this morning

will see tomorrow.

Diana as we say over and over.. staying the same is better than a gain.

Bet you your backyard looks nice and your floors. Good exercise!

Cruises42.. Sorry you didn't lose when you thought you should of. Doesn't that

make you "mad"?

Mike.. Nice you had a loss. You did good. Are you still walking?

Rose.. as we say .2 is better than a gain. Don't know why calories have to

count on a cruise. It's a vacation!

There's that one thing that we are never going to understand but we ask WHY?

Why do we gain..let's say 3 lbs in a day or two AND it can take a month or more

to take it OFF! If we gained in two days should get it off in two days. Right?

Hi all!

I weighed myself Friday hoping it would be a lower number than Thursday but no such luck!!:( I'm shocked to say I'm up 1.2 lbs from the last time. I wonder how that happened! I know I'm not drinking as much water as I used to & I did have a lovely Red Lobster dinner last Sunday. I also made a yummy peach pecan loaf that somebody had to eat!:o

Anyhow I'm sailing 3 weeks from today so have to get down a little to leave room for the weight I'm sure to gain over the 17 days I'll be away.

Have a nice weekend & hope we'll all be losers on Thursday!!(yn)

Jo might be the peach loaf you made, You'll get it off. Water Water.

Iwas wondering about your cruises? Weren't they both to the Caribbean?

What ports are you going to? Did they change some of them. Is this a

solo or with your husband? Have av great time no matter what islands

you see.

Everyone have a good weekend. Try to have fun not all work!

Good to ‘see’ you Belle. Yes, still walking as much as I can. Usually around 3 miles or so. My son actually accompanied me on a 5mi walk around town yesterday. [emoji846]

Diana, 5lbs in 5 weeks is incredible! I need to learn your tricks.

Hi all!

Belle ~ yes, both my cruises are to the Caribbean. Ports are Roatan, Harvest Caye, Costa Maya, Cozumel then Nassau, HMC, Grand Turk & Amber Cove. I know there are no changes on the first cruise but am not sure yet about the 2nd one.

I'm going solo in a studio cabin on the Escape which, if booked now would be more than even a balcony for some strange reason & a dual porthole on the Conquest, my 1st old CCL ship. I will try my best to have a great time.;)

Have a good week & see you later!

Mike that's a good hike you and your son did. Great Job!

Nice bonding time with son too.

Jo know you'll have fun whatever ports you go to. You might

have to skip a few but then enjoy the ship more. Your like me

you don't mind sailing solo. Better than staying home. Is this

your b2b since you like shorter cruises?

I know sometimes pricing on cruise ships make no sense.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Okay where's the two "kittys", shootr and others.

Let's get the post going, keep on talking, weighing, keep the weight coming off,

the exercising sweating drinking, the water making us use the bathroom often......

1-2-3 open the door air is free

3-4-5 look alive

6-7-8 run off what you ate

9-10 then have a Jerry's and a Ben....NOT!:eek::D

Kitty, great loss.

Jo, sorry you gained but that peach pecan loaf sounds scrumptious.

Mike, great, long walk. My biggest advice on a long cruise (or any cruise for that matter)? Stay away from the bread and butter, go to the gym, exercise whenever possible and if you eat in a buffet try taking a small plate and take just 4 items. You can always go back for more but usually I don't.

I'll have to follow my advice next year when we go to Australia then transpacific cruise ending in Honolulu. 33 days cruising and few days before in Australia and few days after in Honolulu so about 6 weeks. Yikes!

Belle, thanks for the mid-week poem.

Great advice Diana, thanks. I’m definitely a sucker for the bread. I have never spent any significant time in a gym on a cruise. I am considering it this time though. All it would take is another few sets of clothes. The track on the Oasis looks to be terribly disappointing, so I don’t have much hope for it. Although I’m sure we’ll still put in some miles there together as a family.

It’s 2months to the day for me and I’m within 12lbs of my goal. So I know 1.5lbs a week isn’t likely to happen but I’m still going to try. I’ve got good routine going.

Finished the weekend with just under 13mi. Plus my son went with me again today!

Well, I’d better get my stuff together for the morning. Have a great week everyone!

Yes Diana it's exciting but lot's of things to think about for cruise and at home.

I keep getting delayed with something or another. But I'll get it done. Usually

have more things done by this time but so many things have been happening,

then all of sudden the day has gone by!

Know there's at least 3 of you cruising in the next few months too. Get ready early!
