Bluesky014 Posted December 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2017 Just wondering if anyone knows how P&O manage back to back cruises? We are doing a 3 night Australia Day cruise, followed by a 6 night Tasmania cruise on the Explorer. Do you know if we will be allowed to stay on board during turnover day, or will we have to disembark with luggage and check in again. Many thanks
Belmont Babe Posted December 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2017 The day before the end of the first cruise an envelope will appear in your cabin with instructions on what to do. If you have the same cabin for both cruises, you just leave the cabin, leave the ship before 10am, ( you must leave the ship) do what ever you want for a few hours and reboard again with the letter they give you, going through the same process you did with the first cruise, getting a new cruise card and re doing your credit card authorisation. You will get priority embarkation if you want be one of the first in the line. If you have to change cabins, you pack your suitcase, label it with the new room number, and your room steward arranges to have it transferred to your new cabin. Rare MicCanberra Posted December 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2017 Generally it is as mentioned, even if you have the same room, you will need to debark at some stage and then get back on as they generally have to 'Ding' you off on the old card and then get you back on with the new one. This is usually only a ten minute thing but realistically, you may be better off going for a wander into Sydney on the ferry.
