Brilliance Western or Enchantment Bahamas with Kids?

Recommended Posts

Now that I’ve caught cruise-planning fever (obsession), I’m looking beyond the week-long itineraries into shorter cruises we can do over long weekends. In general, would you experienced cruisers recommend a 3-night Bahamas itinerary (Nassau, Coco Cay) on Enchantment out of Port Canaveral, or a 4-night Western itinerary (Cozumel) out of Tampa on Brilliance?

In addition to Ship comparisons in general, I’m interested in people’s general thoughts on January cruising as we will have a 4-day weekend in January that would work quite nice for either cruise. My thought is it will be warmer in Cozumel than the Bahamas, so perhaps that’s a better choice?

Also, any thoughts on which ship is better for young kids?

All input appreciated. Thank you!

I would prefer the Caribbean (Brilliance) itinerary, and it would likely be warmer in Cozumel than in Nassau. Briilliance also has a kiddie pool area with a slide.
