Weather between LA and Hawaii?

I know it can certainly vary, but to be out on deck will I need a light jacket or something warmer? Heading out on Feb. 2. Thanks!

The weather usually is cool until two days before Hawaii . Hilo is usually damp on arrival . Drys up and warms up during the day.

A light jacket when out on deck during the days closest to the West Coast is sufficient for me. Even then it’s generally not too cold (about mid 60°) but will feel cooler due to the wind chill affect.

For me the temperatures at this time a year are just perfect in Hawaii…upper 70° to lower 80° range...so you won’t need a jacket to stay warm in Hawaii.

The current weather forecast for San Pedro shows a sunny high temperature of 73° for your embarkation day on Friday...Buon Viaggio! :D

My experience is windy and cold and possibly rainy first two days and sea swells and as you get closer to Hawaii it is often warmer

and hopefully sunny and less sea swells.

But as they say when you sail anywhere in the world there are no guarantees.
