Auckland to Bali Feb '19

Hi all, we have booked ourselves on the Auckland to Bali trip next February on the Silver Muse. We like the itinerary cruising around the bottom and western side of Australia. Plenty of sea days as well.

Wonder if anyone has done a similar cruise and what we can expect of the sea conditions through the Great Australian Bight and waters off Western Australia.

It is a great itinerary with excellent start and finish points..Keep your fingers crossed for Tasman Sea to behave ! If you are lucky like we were you will enjoy a wonderful cruise in a pleasant trouble free part of the World. Enjoy.

If you stop in Adelaide and are interested in wine, we highly recommend you take the tour at Penfolds. It is superb.

Yes do intend to see the wine regions, and maybe a bottle of Grange will be cheaper there! Kangaroo Island is also on our wish list.

We had the same experiences. And the Penfolds tour of the Adelaide facility is really great! But this is not a ship's tour. You can book it directly with Penfolds or through Tripadvisor or similar. The tasting includes Grange, baby Grange, etc. and is excellent!

Thank you so much, will look up the tours. Is Kangaroo Island something you need to see with the ship's shore excursions? Not sure if you can just hop off and go for a walk or get a local taxi.
