Good day all!

Judy (mommo6) asked me to post these pics for her. They are from the August Birthday Party that she organized. I have to say, Celebrity really did a nice job with the cake.

It certainly looks like everyone had a great time.

Thanks for posting the pictures, Jim. Yes, everyone told me they enjoyed it, and the cake was delicious! Whipped cream in between the layers of cake and fresh fruit on top! Yum! Shout out to the Celebrity staff who made it happen! Thank you! Judy

I am just finding time to get on the computer to see what has been happening since we left the ship. We TOTALLY enjoyed this cruise and the new people we met. Hope to met a lot of you on another cruise or two.

This was one of our top best cruises we have been on. It will be hard to match. The ports and excursions were incredible except for getting off.

Keep in touch and glad everyone made it home safe......I hope with their luggage.

Question for Jim: Is this the site where you said you would be posting pictures? Or are they located somewhere else?

Thanks for your great website!

Answer for Kennis. Yes, I will post here when pics are available.

But note to everyone...this isn't like the pre-cruise website. I took more than 3,500 photos on our three week trip (including Amsterdam-precruise). All are in a format called Camera RAW. It is the format that professional photographers and those that teach photo and Photoshop use. But it means that I have to curate and process every photo. You probably will not see photos from me for about three weeks. At that time I will publish all my pics as well as a full review on a separate website but I will put the link here.

I am not exactly sure but I am betting Bob will be along with his videos about that time as well. He will have to chime in on that.

Jim

PS: Right now I am just doing my best to:
A. Get over the cold I caught the day before we finished the cruise.
B. Get caught up with work. (It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be "
C. Get over jet lag like I know you are all trying to do.

Perfect, take your time. We just got home at 11 pm last night ourselves (5 am Amsterdam time) , we must have been among the last to make it home.

I was actually just making sure that I was at the right site. I am so new to this Cruise Critic stuff that I'm not always sure that I'm at the right place! For example, I have just spent half an hour trying to add this site to my preferences and still don't have a clue. I think I will just leave the tab open until I can figure it out LOL. Sorry about your cold!

Jim is correct about the video clips. As I go through post production, I'll be putting several clips, 1-2 for each of the 17 days we were gone (AMS included)

As to being at the right site- this site was started specifically for the Silhouetters group origin (The cruise we all just went on), as well as furthering discussion about any Royal Caribbean international product (Celeb/RCCL/Azamara).

You are most welcome to be here for any of that
~Bob

We too arrived home late last night after 2 flight delays ,1 in AMS & the other in Phillie. In Philadelphia someone checked in & checked their luggage but they never boarded the plane so we waited on the plane while their luggage was found & removed from the plane for security reasons.
We had a great cruise & enjoyed meeting everyone then seeing people on tours & around the ship.
When we disembarked on Saturday we returned to Banks Mansion for 2 more days. We were given a suite on the 4th floor at no additional charge for those 2 days. There were 3 windows in the living room overlooking the canal & 1 window in the bedroom . Very lovely upgrade!
We met several interesting people at the daily cocktail hour in the "living room" .
Now...reality...too much food, wine ,etc. Amazingly my clothes still fit OK .

You are very welcome! There was quite a bit that went on behind the scenes that you aren't aware of, e.g. we were offered to have the lunch at the Lawn Grill for $20 per person, but I didn't want to ask everyone to pay $20 for the luncheon, so I told them, "No." Anyway, I was happy with the end result in the MDR. Funny water story. Get home Sunday afternoon, unpack, sort laundry and start washing. Why the blazes is the washer not working? Grumbling start the machine again. Still not working, go to bed. Wake up at 2 am and realize that yes we had left the water on so that the neighbours could water the flowers, but turned the taps off for the washing machine!

Returned home last night after our post cruise stay in London. Very jet lagged today.

Had a wonderful time on the trip. Tattoo was the highlight for sure.

Did not get to meet everyone but enjoyed our time with those that we did.

Our next big trip planned is on the Solstice in Australia and New Zealand. Anyone with insights on guides or tours on that itinerary we would love the info.

Enjoy the remainder of the summer. Still hot here in Atlanta. Looking forward to fall.

Thanks for all that shared their ideas and organized everything. We are spoiled!

Me again. I believe some of the photographers on the roll call have a favourite program / software for editing. I have Adobe Elements (7 I think) but thinking we need to upgrade just a bit and would want to install on the Mac (my laptop is getting kind of full). Have a great weekend everyone. Sue

I have this card and use it before every cruise. For every $10,000 you spend, you get $100 in OBC. It's that easy. There are some bonuses for taking it out to start with but that's the regular rate. If you charge a bunch (I put my entire business on my cards) it is a great deal. We had $300 extra to spend on this cruise from purchases made a few months back.

That is one caveat, don't expect quick turns. If you want the credit, make sure you charge the $$$ at least three months before you cruise for it to have enough time that you can convert it.
