Aside from coming back to the devastation and being sick, the Norwegian fjords were beautiful. If you haven't travelled in that part of the world, you should add it to your bucket list.
I enjoyed Iceland for the second time. The biggest downside is the amount of driving that is needed from Reykjavik to see the magnificent formations.
If you plan to go, I would recommend the Golden Circle tour and the Blue Lagoon. I think it was better than the one we did now The South Shore. Of course, doing both is nice if you have the time. Expect to pay dearly for lunch. Two fish and chips lunches with one beer - approx. $50. Some brought sandwiches they made on the ship.
I didn't care for Akureyri as much but then again I was sick and it was cold and rainy. The captain did take us across the Arctic Circle and we got certificates to prove it! Too bad it was cloudy so no Northern Lights.
I understand those on the Vision the night before viewed them with the clear skies.
I am really looking forward to going back to Halifax when we do the Summit next year. They have a lovely boardwalk with some unique shops. I could have spent an extra day there.
I am going to add my 2 cents to Arlene's comments about Iceland. It was nice to visit Iceland, and it is very scenic (in places), but Bill and I think that Yellowstone National Park has much more to offer. What we liked best about Iceland was the Blue Lagoon. Our receommendation is,if you live in the US, save your money and visit Yellowstone rather than traveling all the way to Iceland.

Hi everyone,
we are in Rome today ahead of our Constellation cruise to Israel. I took the trouble to go along to the Colosseum and book the spot for Jim's Classical Colosseum Cookery Convention in 2019. I told them they could send the invoice to Bob....
By the way we sampled some excellent pasta (among other things! ) in a quaint little place with red-checked table covers near S. Maria Maggiore. It is called La Forchetta d'Oro....worth noting if you plan to be in the city any time soon.

We have nothing planned for 2019 so we will have to check into this cruise. We are going on a Transatlantic from Southampton to Miami at the end of the month, our first River cruise over to Prague, Budapest and down to Amsterdam, another cruise from after that and another one in October back over to Europe for a b2b. It would be nice to see everyone again.

Hello everyone. I've looked and cannot find the Edge west bound Transatlantic itinerary. Definitely interested.

If Jim needs an out, I did a wonderful cooking class in Rome. "Cooking Class in Rome" by Chef Andrea in Trastevere. It's most of the day but great fun.

You must have missed my comment. That (the westbound TA) hasn't posted yet. They have taken it out through the end of the season but not the trip back to the Caribbean.

We have Go Texan Day. Schools were closed when I first started teaching here. I think not any more.

We are not interested in the Eastbound but will wait for the Westbound to be announced.

We have booked the Celebrity Eclipse from Valparaiso to San Diego for March 24-April 8, 2019 and there is a strong possibility I will do a Tulip Time river cruise from Amsterdam at the end of April 2019.
We are totally open for a westbound Edge in the fall of 2019.
