Ocean Cabana access question

Was not lucky enough to snag a pool side cabana, so looking at a ocean cabana. From what I have read, the ocean cabanas are off in a separate area. I think the rental is for up to 8 people. Do you get issued a wristband to be able to enter the ocean cabana area? We have 12 people in our group, and did not know if we all could come and go and use the cabana as a drop off stuff resting spot, or if we rented one, only 8 out of the 12 would be able to have access and use the cabana.

We've been to AC twice and rented pool cabanas both times. However, we did walk over to the Ocean Cabanas to take a look at them. There is a long pier to get to the cabanas. On that pier there is a bar. Right past the bar there is a check point. They do check the wristbands. We had to ask someone to take us on a tour and could only get past that point with an escort. However, one of the times that we were in AC we had extra people for our pool cabana. We went to the hut to ask if we could buy extra wristbands and were told it would be $25 each. We then went to collect money and went back. Once there, the manager asked if the extras were planning to use the zip line. We said no and she said "don't worry about it". We'll be back in AC in 3 weeks and have rented the Grand Cabana so I'll check to see if they actually are checking wristbands as we have a group of 40 that will be coming and going this time!

Sorry I forgot to report back. We were there the first week in January. In our group we rented an ocean cabana, the grand cabana, and two pool cabanas. The wristbands were different colors for the ocean cabanas and the pool cabanas but we were free to mingle in between the two. There was a rope (barrier) by the bar on the dock and they did check to see if you had a wristband.
