Yes. And I also suggest sneakers - much easier for all of the walking than sandals.

Thank you. we had dinner last night with friends that are cruising with us and surprised when one mentioned they read that shorts were a no no in Havana. You made my husband very happy.:D

Wanted to add our experience in case it might be helpful. Husband and I both wore shorts (nice khaki shorts and nice tops) for sightseeing. We ere there over Thanksgiving and it was HOT! So I would definitely recommend shorts or a sundress. At night we went to a nice restaurant we had made reservations for in advance. Hubby wore a Tommy Bahama shirt, similar to what he wore during the day but perhaps a bit dressier and I wore a sundress. Many people were dressed the same. A lot of places you will go have limited air conditioning or are open air, so dress for the temperature.
