MSC or Costa?

Can anyone advise how the two compare?

We have cruised with MSC 17 times and have 5 cruises booked with them, but we can see some good deals with Costa, are they similar?

I have been on Costa a few times and MSC once... Costa better by far in my opinion.

I prefer Costa, but MSC is nearly as good imo

I think that they are comparable. I liked Costa's food entertainment better. I think MSC's fleet is (overall) newer, but I could be wrong.

I would book either one, depending on price and itinerary. In fact, recently, I tried to book a long voyage with Costa but I was put on a waiting list. I happily booked with MSC a few days later for a similar trip at a similar price.

If you were to have asked me 3 years ago then I would have said Costa but in the last few years, MSC have raised their game. We haven't sailed Costa since the loyalty club revamp and after 6 cruises with them had attained Pearl status, this has now dwindled down to Coral and we haven't entertained a cruise with since. On the other hand, we have taken advantage of the MSC loyalty match and as you know have thoroughly enjoyed Seaview and have a Grand Voyage on Splendida to look forward to. I would say MSC is just in front at the moment although there is little difference in the product. :D
