formal night for a 5 day cruise

We are on the sunshine in Nov & this is the first 5 day cruise that we have taken.Can somebody tell me if there is 1 formal night or 2 & what day do they do it?

Just one, and it's usually on the second night.

Only 1. What night depends on your itinerary. It would be your first sea day unless that sea day happens to be the last night of the cruise. If you share the itinerary I can hazzard a guess.
