B2B or Separate Bookings

We have a segment booked on the Discoverer and are considering adding another. Is there an advantage to booking back to back, or as a single cruise, versus two seperate bookings? We were able to take advantage of some good deals for the first one, and haven't heard if they will be extended to a second segment. I'm not even sure what questions to ask. Any thoughts?
