Personally that sounds way too early to me. I think 10:30 or 11 is the earliest I would try for. For an 8:30 flight, you would need to be at the airport by 7. That’s pretty unlikely with Customs etc.

Agree with stinalynn. If the ship docks on time and clears customs immediately, and there is no traffic, and TSA is fully staffed, you might be able to make a 9:30 flight. Maybe.

 

10:30 or 11:00 is a much safer bet.

I would not book anything before 11am. From what I understand, while the ship gets in at 5:30am, debarkation will not start until 8am. If you are one of the first out the door and zoom to the airport, you'll still be pushing it for anything before 10:30. Others have made 10am work but one little thing goes wrong and you get delayed and you cut your time very, very short. ANY is usually busy Sunday mornings and you'll be sharing the airport with ast least some of the passengers from three other ships that also debark that morning.
