Would love to see pictures of the YC Accessible balcony cabins. There are two them of them, 18024 & 18029.

If anyone has been in them or knows where to find photos I would appreciate your help!

There are pictures and videos just do a search.

I have looked everywhere without any luck for a photo of YC Accessible balcony suites. That is not totally unexpected this early in Seaside's cruising history! We are booked in 18024 in April. Hoping there will be photos before then. :)

I’ve also looked and can’t find them. I really want to see the ADA modifications (shower, toilet, bathroom, balcony door/ramp, etc.) to make sure they’ll work for my mom.
Below is a link to a YouTube video of cabin 18033, which is one of the HC YC YIN cabins. Starting at 0:42 is footage of the bathroom with the ADA modifications. This bathroom should be identical to the one in the balcony version of this cabin.

The bathroom modifications in all the photos and videos basically match what we had on the Divina in the past. I cannot imagine that your Mom will need anything not offered. My husband did very well and he is completely mobility disabled.

As for the balcony... there is a short, fairly steep ramp both on the inside of the cabin as well as the outside which we found usable with his walker (with careful watching from me) but not his scooter. Does your Mom use a wheelchair or is she ambulatory enough to go up and down the ramp? The slider, as best we can remember, was not modified at all. But again, this was on the Divina. The pictures below are from the Meraviglia, but match what we had on the Divina

Thanks a lot. Mom has a rolling walker. That is a very steep ramp but one of us will always be with her.

I am glad those photos helped alleviate your worry! Hopefully we will see photos of "our" suite soon!

I had friends in the cabin. She also used walker. Ramp not as steep as showed. They had issue with auto patio door when ship moving. If you have specific questions i can probably find out. Balcony was amazing.

Well, thank you! But now you've piqued my curiosity! Hope someone will finally post some pictures of this cabin.

We stayed in 18024 in January, The cabin is huge the sofa bed can be open and you still can walk between the bed and the open sofa bed. They are on opposite walls. The bath room is very large with the necessary feature. The balcony is also very large it is over the Royal suite and almost as big. We has three lounge chairs and small table and two chair there was room for more. Plenty of closet space with hanging rods that pull down. large tv all in all it is the nicest cabin I have bee in. We stayed in the two bed room aft suite on RCCL Liberty of the sea and like this better. The location is great two, one deck up and your at the pool, maybe 50 steps away including the stair. Right down the hall is the dinning room again maybe 50 steps I think you will love it. Sorry no pictures but let me know if there is something I can tell you that I have not mentioned. Wish we were there now.

Thanks so much!! We were curious about the balcony since we know the basic layout of the HA bathroom. Glad to hear it is a grand space out there!

Just got home from our Seaside Cruise and we LOVED it. I will put up pictures of Suite 18024 (which is HA) ASAP
I can't imagine a better suite. It was enormous and well outfitted. The patio door was automatic and easy to operate. Feel free to ask questions.0428181250f.thumb.jpg.433d4a022ffaf3594bacb1d2db5fee1d.jpg

pno4te - Thank you very much. It looks like my 90-year old mother will be “safe” with her walker and wheelchair in this ADA cabin. Too bad there’s not a “dining table” on the balcony for her to eat her breakfast and lunch at. We’re on for 14 days so maybe they can find a table or we can buy a card table at Walmart and bring it with us. Thanks again for the photos.

You are welcome! I will say that there is plenty of room for a table (we even discussed that it would be a lovely addition) and if there is something available onboard I am pretty sure your butler will be able to get it for you.

As for the card table: (I wouldn't want to travel with something that bulky) but more importantly, the wind on the balcony would very possibly blow it around. A few days when we were at sea the heavy furniture on the balcony was moved with the wind so I would think a card table could possibly become airborne.

Enjoy your cruise with your mother. We think you will both love it!

I'm curious if you've sailed yet. We have that room in March, and wanted to know if you (or your mother) liked it.

JAGR - I am not LadyVol but I will tell you that I cannot imagine anyone not liking this room!! The group we sailed with did a cabin crawl and were given permission to be escorted one at a time to come see our cabin while we were on the cruise. Every single one wanted to know how they could book it. It is spacious and well laid out. And the balcony is just LOVELY!

We’re a family of 5, booked in this stateroom later this year. I’m just curious about the configuration of the beds for the kids. Is this one of the rooms that the sofa pulls out to a double bed, and it looks like they also have a pull down single bed from the ceiling? In all likelihood, my youngest likes to sleep in bed with us anyways, but curious about how it caters for 5.

Also a question about formal night, how formal do people dress up? We were excited to dress up on our first NCL cruise 10 year ago, but overdid it! People stared at us like we were getting married! Our next cruise we chose much less formal wear, but it was also NCL.

We stayed in this cabin last April.  There are pictures earlier on in this thread. My husband and I "think" the sofa opens.  The ceiling does contain a pull- down bed (our butler,  Jee, said there is a tool to facilitate this.

As for formal night,  go for it! There were many levels of dressing up but you would not be out of place in long gowns and tuxes! You would also be fine with short, dressy clothes (dresses,  capris with a fancy top) and a jacket for the men in your party.

You will love it!
