Ocean Terminal Southampton

Anyone have any idea why Ocean Terminal (46) have no cruises leaving there after 4th November?

All the ships due to leave from there have been moved to other terminals. I was due to depart Ocean on 5th November but have now been moved to Mayflower.

I don't understand it, but the last cruises we've taken with P&O, in Jan '16, 17 and March 18 were all out of Mayflower. The first 2 were with Ventura to the Caribbean and back, and the only thing we could think of was there might have been better loading facilities for food? There was no obvious reason, and there were no more ships around at that time of year...

If it's a major refurb, then why was it the same in '16, 17 and 18?

The main fleet of Cunard and P&O are away on world, or long cruises, or settled in the Caribbean. There's very little other cruise traffic until spring.

Perhaps Mayflower is cheaper to keep warm in winter...
