"It's the most wonderful time of the year!"

Yes, ladies and gentlemen it is the start of the Port Everglades sail-away season. We will be starting the season with the newest and largest HAL ship, Koningsdam. She will be at Terminal 19 and is scheduled to leave at 4 pm (1600) local time. She is the only ship in port.

She'll be arriving at sea buoy at 0430, so I'll miss sail-in, but with that early arrival and all the legal/official stuff she has to do, maybe she can leave on time.

At least the pax shouldn't be all bundled-up.

See you all tomorrow.

ETA: Nieuw Amsterdam will also be in Aruba - same time as EDT 0800-2000.

Thanks, Scrapnana!

We will be watching since we will be on the next sailing! I posted the webcam link on our roll call, and the people from our sailing who are also on this one have promised to be waving at the webcam, so be sure you're waving back at them. :D

I think I will post a link to this thread over on our roll call.

Exciting! And I was happy to see the itinerary. We are doing this cruise in January, and the itinerary has not changed - it includes St. Martin and St. Thomas. I kind of hope we get this new itinerary, too. I think HAL hopes to be able to resume the old itinerary by January 3, but I don't see how the ports will be ready after all the damage they sustained.

I probably won't be here for sailaway, but I'll be thinking of you. We are in Newfoundland and leaving on a little road trip with DD today.

It sure is nice to see a blue hulled ship in FLL again! Unfortunately, I will have to miss the first sail-away :(because I am taking friends to the airport. Hopefully, nothing will come up on Friday to keep me away from sail-away.:D
