excitedofharpenden Posted September 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2018 I was so sad to hear from husband Joe today that Liz died suddenly last night of a massive heart attack. I've said many times that cruising is not only about the places you see, but the people you meet. I met Liz on Azamara four times and I became really good friends with her and husband Joe. She loved Azamara. I'll miss her big time and I'm sure some people here too. All good thoughts to Joe, her daughter Jemma and all the family. Rare uktog Posted September 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2018 It was so sad to hear this news from you yesterday Phil. Liz was a lovely cruiser and so kind to many. My heart goes out to her dear family. I hope they can in time be comforted by the memories of the special places she went to and the friends she made on Azamara. Lottie A Posted September 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2018 Like Ann I was so saddened to hear this news yesterday. I never met Liz, but from her posts on the forum I thought she seemed a lovely woman and she certainly loved her Azamara cruises. Deepest sympathy to her family and friends. excitedofharpenden Posted September 21, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted September 21, 2018 F & B Manager Thomas from Scotland played a great trick on Liz and Joe with the daily (see below). She would always say she would get him back. She asked me to try when I was on Pursuit last month. I didn't get a chance, but will try again when I see him again. She's not here, but will know! Mrs Miggins Posted September 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2018 Very sad news for all her many friends and family, and even her extended family on cruise critic. A timely reminder that none of us know what is just around the corner, and we must live each day to the full, just like Liz.
