Conquest 6 day - when are formal nights

January will bey first time on Carnival. I don't like to get too dressed up. I do appreciate those who do. I also travel with carry on luggage only so not much room for lots of shoes and dresses.

 

How many of the passengers remain smart casual vs dressy. Will i feel too out of place with black slacks, sandles and a nice top?

You will not be out of place. Most guys now wear khakis and a polo, rather than dressing up. It varies sailing to sailing and port to port but on my last cruise in June if I had to guess I'd say 60-65% of the guys were in khakis & polo. Basic business casual.
