Happy holidays to you and Barb :D

Nick don't get me started with CR daily/weekly/monthly changes :o:o:o

I've started booking cruises now after final payment and I've stop playing now once I reach 2400 points. We have 3 more 12 night sailings in the next 2 1/2 months :o I'll have to pace myself in the casino 😟.

CR is well aware they are losing players, even some of their high rollers.

Hi Linda, Thank you for posting the lists. When booking after final payment with a $500 cruise certificate, is the price Casino Royale uses as a base then typically lower than the full retail price because it's after final payment?

3 cruises with Royal, played everyday on all of em

Liberty 2016, got nothing

Freedom, president's cruise 2017, got 100 off

Allure, last month, got 100 off (and I had to pick up the certificate myself)

on top of that, when I call to use the "100 off" they quote me higher prices than online

Casino royale is a joke

I think if all depends on the sailing and how full it is. It could go either way. However, we no longer get casino rates AND a certificate. If we use a certificate it's off the regular RCI rates and any promos they have at the time.

The only problem I have for the cruises over a year out is if we want a special sailing that is very limited, the staterooms we want sell out or go double or triple in price as we

Get closer. So i HAVE to book something like that early. Case in point. I just booked 9/16/19 Adventure for 11 nights from Quebec City. JS was $4,080 total. If I wait til 12 months out that will be $8,000 IF any JS's are available.

Ok thanks. I thought I had read if a certificate was used it was off full retail, wasn't sure if that changed after final payment was due but makes sense that it would depend on vacancies. This is all new to me. Thanks for your patience with my questions. :)

When booking after final payment, the price on Royal's Webb is the price, meaning, there are no special discounts with CR that I know of when booking after final payment.

If there's still many cabins left after final payment Royal will drops the prices on those cabins and if there's only a few cabins left in specific categories, Royal will sometimes raise the prices after final payment. Some disadvantages of booking after final payment will be the location of cabins selection and maybe only certain categories are available.

If you're interested in a specific sailing or stateroom you should book when Itineraries are just released.

Nick, I totally agree with you about booking early for specific sailings.

They are doing away with Casino rates (at least as of yesterday decisions.) The rates will be whatever can be looked at by Royal’s sale du jour, Crown and Anchor discount, state of residence discount....The people who answer the phones at CR do take our comments back to the marketing / revenue people. For those of us who have been in the program for years we have seen the changes - not good for us. I think so many of us loved Casino cash back waiting for us. The people who answered our calls had the ability to do extra things for us. Now, not. Their hands have been tied. Royal no longer cares about how we played over multiple cruises. Now Royal wants CR only to look at what we did on past cruise - singular. If someone drops a 5 dollar bill into a slot machine they are considered CR members. If your last cruise is port intensive there is less time in Casino. Those comments also have been taken back to management. A 3 night cruise will be less time in Casino. Those comments also have gone back to management. Table players seem to be at the mercy of the dealers..how is play being tracked? Incentives have been going away... Not as good as it used to be....will things change after Jan 1..... maybe....

When booking with CR, is it possible to use a FCC? I have read that the deposits required are now back to $100 pp so I would like to use one while booking with CR.

On a positive note about CR. I called yesterday to make final payment for an upcoming trip. I talked to a lovely lady named Sarah. She had to talk to a supervisor but was able to get us switched to an accessible room at a $200 discount. I was a happy camper. Katherine

I believe you have hit the nail on the head from my recent experiences.

I play Table games and seem to end up on the roulette table mostly. On Roulette I buy in to get real chips and not colors. Last week they made me buy colors, so my chips were $5. New dealer comes up, I have four colored chips on Outside first 12. Dealer sees me place bet. Says nothing, then spins. My first 12 hits. He starts paying out other winners and then with his finger flicks my chips, my bet, off the table towards me and pulls the marker. I was ripped. This wasn’t an honest mistake, it was rude and not appropriate. I called the pit boss over and asked him to remove the dealer. He did. I had a good run going and this was just bad karma to me. I choose to retire after the next spin. Didn’t get a certificate although I played a fair amount.

I didn’t get my status because on very port intensive cruise on Freedom in September, I failed to reach 1000 points.

My last play was on Brilliance.

Sarah is awesome. She is one of the best CR reps. I’m always happy when I get her.

Who is the singing group on your cruise? Next cruise we have booked is Adventure out of Puerto Rico - ABC islands April/May. Thinking about somethiing in-between...

For your sailing:

12/30/17 Tribute band is LA Vation---U2 Tribute

Love the itinerary on Adventure with the ABC islands, enjoy both cruises.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year :)

Today I tried to book Allure 7 nights for Thanksgiving 2018 and as I mentioned before my last play 26k points... CR said that they will be able to comp me ONLY balcony (4,800 points) and for JS and need to pay 1,300 extra. (Price for balcony $782pp and JS 1,899pp)

Cannot undertand their math at all .... any logic???

What kind of play did you do to accumulate 26k?

Also, I would call back and escalate. Your situation isn’t normal.

I was just told by the host that cabin comps can also be given away based on your actual losses. Does anyone know what the formula is for this? This explains my last comp. I had about 2000 points from tables but got a comp balcony. I estimate my loss was around $3000.

What they do is bump up your certificate to the next level of your current earned certificate. based on losses. Not sure how much the losses have to be but probably $2,000+
