This was my 3rd time to sail the Glory, first two was in '04 & '05 out of Port Canaveral. I have sailed from POM before, but this time it was very smooth to embark, no waiting at all, walked in right on through, xrayed our carry on, we had a case of soda, they didn't bother to check it, waved us through, right up and on. I am Platinum, our cabin, 2327 was ready, but our luggage didn't show up until after 4. No biggie.

Carnival has made quite a few changes, I haven't sailed for 4 yrs, but things were different. The potato salad on buffet was different, not as good. Deli has new menu, no shrimp salad here or on room service menu. Reuben, ham/cheese, beef hotdog, grilled cheese, same tuna, BLT, no pickles, they have cookies, potato salad and fries with several choices of dressing. There were a few wraps and other sandwiches too. We ate here a lot, the buffet was not very good. Edible but not favs. Sweet potato soup ain't my thing, but the minestrone was great!

Dining room chow was fine, I did notice no tablecloths except on elegant night. People came in with shorts and tshirts on elegant night.

Now you choose to have your steward come in to clean 1 or 2 times a day or both. Ours told us they have 40 something cabins now. I ased for 2 times, but don't worry about cleaning, I need clean towels and ice, palmed him $10 and off he went. Antonio was a gr8 steward, always cleaned and had ice. No mints on pillows any more. The sheers are not in cabin any longer, the trac is stillup there but only have think drapes, glad we did, that cabin was so hot and stuffy! We had ac on as far as it would go, used to be so cold, guess another cutback.

Only had bingo a few times, the shows were horrible, welcome aboard show, the girl in red was off step, they wore street clothes. One night a girl juggling kept dropping the pins, we left, it was terrible and again, so stuffy! No pretty costumes, just untalented kids stomping around on stage. The love n marriage or newlywed game, was funny, same ole thing but still funny.

One comedian John, was really good, so funny at the R rated show. The early show the next nt was just ok. There was a lady kinda funny too. I wish carnival would put the shows in the Amber Palace, it was so aced in the Ebony room, we walked out one nt, no seats, people crammed in and kept opening the door, couldn't hear.

We never did find karaoke going on. Went to piano bar about every night, seemed more like he played what he wanted, not a lot of sing alongs. One nt, Wed, piano bar was closed, no karaoke, only kids club I guess disco was open. Nothing to do, so boring. We are gamblers, went in casino every night, but the smoke was terrible, machines were tight. Went back to cabin to watch tv after pizza again.

The adults pool was always packed,no chairs, we went up to 10, no biggie. I did see a kid attempt to get in, the mentor stopped her. Yeah! I will say, there were not many children on this cruise, the mid ship pool was crowded, but with adults, only a few kids. I didn't go to this pool except to walk through, but I didn't hear any hey mom hey mom, marco polo, just people enjoying the pool.

Grand Cayman, went to Royal Palms, $4-5 each in cab, ow, $2 to get in. Water is beautiful, there are some fish around coral for snorkeling, better that the old Sea Grape for that. Love the water, so pretty. Never enough time here. So hot too. BUT, they have erected pop ups to stand under while in line for the tender! Used to stretch down the sidewalk in the hot sun, now the wait is much better. The line was slow at first, then it moved and didn't stop.

Roatan, I finally sailed a ship that made it to this island. I booked the relax on the beach, $50 for 2 people. Two loungers, clam shell and 2 floats. I have afib, when I saw the hill I had to climb I almost backed out. I made it up the hill, had to rest a few times. If I would have known, I would not have booked this. You can ride the chairs for $14 to the beach, or walk. The lounge chairs were so so close to each other, hated it, really didn't need the clam shell, under the palms. The water was so murky, no way could I snorkel, went back to chair after 10 min. Then it rained, we showered off, bought a t shirt and rode the chairs back.

Belize, just rode tender over to mess around in shops, bf first cruise. Tshirt and was on the next tender back. They run every 1/2 hour. We were on at 1:55, it did not go at 2, we sat on the hot tender until they packed as many people as they could on it, about2 :25 b4 it left. A few people were sick, it was very hot and humid.

Cozumel, I love this port, however, 9 ships in port!! Irma closed E ports, ships r sent to Western. So many peeps, we walked around shops and back on ship. I usually go to Mr Sanchos, Paradise Beach, Chankanabb, no way was I gonna fight all those people.

I love to cruise, we had a nice time, but I sure noticed the cut backs on Carnival. Nothing to do was our biggest complaint. Food was fine, clean cabin, calm seas, just bored, will go to Royal or Norweigan next time...

Forgot to add, we did have a fridge and our drinks were cold! Bought a case of water and 8 beers, took case of soda, nice to have cold drinks.

Platinum gift was an insulated cup, chocolate covered strawberries and a liter of water. I did not use the laundry, can't imagine my stuff floating around with other peoples soiled clothes.
