The Azamara Pursuit deck plans are now available. Check out the link below:

Notable changes include:

  • Casino – There will be no casino on the Azamara Pursuit. This area will be a lounge area.
  • Center Space of Deck 5 - the Shore Excursions and Future Cruise desks will now be located on Deck 5.
  • Staterooms on Deck 4 - we are adding six additional Oceanview staterooms to Deck 4.
  • Top 10 suites - bathrooms - the top 10 suites will have a separate powder room in addition to the main bathroom. Main bathroom in top suites will all have showers. Note, the Spa Suites will still have bath tubs.
  • Sofas - based on our guests’ feedback, the sofas will be straight-back versus curved-back.

Since most of deck 5 sofas hurt should be interesting. I hope the improve tables and chairs all over ship.. also they do not need the extra chair in most cabin. Great for hitting my foot on it,

Good use of the deck 4 space with extra ocean view staterooms but I’m a bit confused with the Cruise Again being in 3 separate areas. I would have preferred to have seen Cruise Again in the area marked Art Gallery on deck 5 allowing extra lounge area in Spirits.

Hi Bonnie,

Welcome back to work if you are not still cruising.

Looks like even the slot machines have gone.

Can you confirm this for me as we used to while away an hour on the 1 cent machines.

I note you confirm no baths in Owners suites but deck plans still show

  • Marble master bath with tub and shower.
  • Can you confirm what Azamara propose to offer to those of us who have been misled re facilities in these suites since last October.
  • Thanks

The adding of cabins on deck 4 is a disappointment to me. I really like that open feel of the area as you walk down the stairs to Guest Relations and that will be lost now. I understand about maximising revenue, but it's a shame. As for "art gallery" in the extra space afforded by the shops on previous Adonia instead of seating for Mosaic I don't like that idea either. I will wait to see it in person before passing final judgement though.

I think I can guess the answer. If you want a tub then you'll need to book a Spa Suite or a Club Continent Suite with a tub combo. I know you feel like you've been misled, but the plans for a new ship will always have some changes.

On deck 9 Journey and Pursuit have a Sunset Bar, Pursuit has a Sunset Verandah. Does this mean that they are not adding an actual bar to that area. I know that there was not one on Adonia but sincerely hoped that Azamara would include one. I am also confused by the need to have three spaces on deck 5 in lounge dedicated to future cruises. I think that moving Mosaic to the opposite side of deck 5 is also a mistake as that side gets most of the though traffic to Discoveries.

There was no physical bar on Adonia and the last that I heard they weren't going to build one. Drinks will come from the bar inside Windows. Whilst it's a shame the bar area will be gone, to me this is an improvement. More seating and no need to ease past bar stools as you walk by.

We have an interior on 4, should we be moving to 7? Noise being below the bars on 5?

Being so far out should we ask for one of the larger interiors or are these held for acceessibility requirements?

You'll be fine. There's no material change to those cabins on deck 4 or what is above them. I'm there for January and don't plan to move. I've stayed there quite a few times and have never heard noise from above as it's all carpeted. As for requesting an accessible cabin? Unless you need one then you shouldn't be booking one this far out for the extra space in my view.

I totally agree, I wonder if the same will happen to Journey and Quest eventually.

Thanks Phil for your considered response.

I get the fact that things change and I do not really have an issue with that but the REALITY is that people in Azamara knew and confirmed last October that these suites would not have baths but did nothing to amend website or at least advise anybody booking these of the changes after booking.

After all there are only 10 per voyage.

Richards Q & A pretended that this decision had not been made and Nicole confirmed in Feb that they would not have baths.

I have copy email.

Equally Bonnie said in early Feb that she would try to get info changed but despite new deck plans they have STILL not changed the website.

This is now most definitely MISLEADING advertising.

will not stop me enjoying my cruise in Sept but back to Journey and Quest thereafter.

There are usually two people in a stateroom, so two chairs are necessary.

Personally I should be glad to see the slot machines removed from all 3 ships. It can be difficult to have a conversation at Spirits bar with awful amusement arcade sounds blaring out behind you.

I have to say I've never used the tub in its current form. I used to when they had a jacuzzi tub. Materially that was much more of a downer for me. Tubs just don't seem so important any more. People want a decent shower. The CC suites with showers seem to sell first before those with tubs. Hopefully they will be able to sort out the leaky shower stall once and for all. As for Journey and Quest, I wouldn't be surprised to see them changed in due course.

Appears tp be a step backwards... Enlarge the faux art area to encourage sales, remove nice open space from the area of guest relations where people enjoyed meeting prior to excursions, and place future cruise sales in the middle of the social gathering area. None of that makes sense from a passenger perspective on an "upscale" cruise ship. Argh!

I see that future cruise desk has been relocated to deck 5 as I said sometime ago but was dismissed as unlikely at the time.:halo:

I agree with you. Only saving grace of those changes is that there is no room for the hideous electronic gaming tables they've got on Journey.

I meant two chairs plus sofa, the extra chair somewhere against the wall by the sliding glass door. It in the way when you go around the bed. There are days I like it to put it outside. Give my cabin more space.

Hi Procter, thanks for the welcome back wishes. Yes, I’m home again. I’ll be writing about Cuba soon.

Re. Slot machines, I’m told no, there won’t be any on the Azamara Pursuit.

Re. Deck Plans showing tub and shower in top suites, where are you seeing this? When I download the PDF of the Pursuit’s deck plan I only see tubs in the Club Continent suites (Below.) If you’ll direct me to the erroneous deck plan I’ll send the update request off to our website team.

Thanks!

Hi marmaduke,

We are not moving the Mosaic Cafe; that’s the side it was on upon receipt.

Re. The three spaces for Future Cruise Sales, they are being referred to as pods. I’ll ask around to see if there exists an illustration I can share. I’m curious as well.

And anticipating the next question, yes, there will still be a Future Cruise Manager on every sailing, we are not automating!
