No IMAX on Panorama

John Heald said in a live video this morning that the Panorama will not have an IMAX theater, but will have something else in that space. Any thoughts?

That "space" the Vista is 3 decks tall.. More cabins for the upper 2 decks/ maybe all 3 as the Empress deck is all cabins except for the IMAX entrance.

He said there is something going in that spot that is exciting and new. He didn't say more rooms.

We know there won't be IMAX, but they haven't said that Thrill Theatre was leaving. So that leaves the surrounding footprint.

Not surprised by this. The movie industry is not a profitable one, especially if you don't plan to sell tons of concessions. That's valuable real estate.

My guess is, it will be the start of extra shopping choices. The next wave is about mini malls

I'm doubting that something new and exciting will take up 3 decks. That opens up at least 2 decks for cabins. The Vista did this when they eliminated the 2 deck spa and Thalasso pool. Made the upper deck cabins.

These two are likely options although JH said they would be new concepts and Princess also already has an escape room.

We can also count on additional rooms.

Laser tag wouldn't be new to Carnival.

They used to have laser tag back in the day. Oh the good ol days.

We were on an RCL cruise a few weeks ago and they announced that their new ship would have the "first" laser tag on a cruise ship. I too remember Carnival having laser tag, but I chose not to correct them, as you don't want to use the "C" word on an RCL ship.

That is great news , that means no more LOUD noises coming from the theater affecting so many cabins !!!!!!!!!!!!
