#2568/2268 Liberty/Freedom/Independence Family Oceanview Questions

My wife and I and our three children are going to be on Liberty of the Seas in September and have booked an Oceanview stateroom (which are the same as the ones on Freedom and Independence). Despite there being more available on the upper decks, we are in room 2568. My brother and his family are in the same room, but across the conference center in 2268. He gets seasick, so I told him the lower the cabin and more midship, the better, hence where we are.

With this being said, I want to make sure this room will be right for us. There are a couple of different pictures of these Family Oceanview staterooms online, whether it be on the Royal Caribbean site, icruiser, or some other sites. I just wanted to see if anyone knows which picture is correct for this cabin, or has stayed in it and can post the picture. The only reason I ask is because our third child, will be around a year old when we sail and still in a crib, so we are getting a pack-n-play put in our room, but want to make sure to have a place to put it that is tucked away and that she is not going to be able to see us and make us stay up for hours on end. All you parents out there know what I'm talking about.

My other two children are still young but will be able to sleep in the bunkbeds tucked away in that little alcove, which is awesome since it has the heavy drapes. That will be perfect for them.

So my questions are:

-Is there a Heavy curtain anywhere in the room to "close off" part of the room from the rest?

-Is there a little niche area where I could put the pack-n-play for my youngest where she will be able to sleep without seeing all of us?

-Are there two large portholes, or just one?

-Is there any noise from Studio B or the Conference Room with this room?

I have all the same questions you had about these two cabins. We are a family of 7 so we booked both 2568 and 2268. I’d love to hear about your experience. We will have a 2 year old who I’m not sure will still be in a Pack n Play by then but I’d like to hear where you ended up putting yours.

Another question to have is are the two cabins easily accessible or do you have to walk around the conference center to get to the other one? Looking at the deck plans it’s kind of hard to tell.

We just sailed on Freedom in January and were on deck 12 in the panoramic family suite on the very front of the ship, so being on deck 2 midship is going to be quite the change. Hoping to hear you enjoyed your stay!

Yes there is a heavy curtain which closes off the king sized bed area. Not too sure if that makes a quiet enough area for your pack n play. I am thinking maybe you could move one of your nightstands and push the big bed against a wall, leaving room for the pack n play next to the big bed. The room is a great configuration though for a family of 5. Ours had 2 deep portholes and the kids loved sitting in the windows.
