How Often Do u Weigh???

Just curious, it seems as if everyone here weighs alot...Because your body retains, and looses water weight--espec. women--there can be as much as a 6-8lb fluctuation during the course of a month. I know from personal xperience that weighing is necessary for me, but I tend to be obsessive about it, so now I ONLY weigh 1x/week, early Fri. am, that's it, It would drive me bonkers to see the scale up/down/up/down...what about y'all?

i usually end up weighing in every day, however, having said that, i don't really pay attention to it. if i gain, i figure it is water weight. as long as i haven't cheated (which i only do if i plan it ahead of time, such as easter day)there is no way i can gain fat weight, therefore, i only pay attention if the scale goes down. i only really care if i haven't lost anything in an entire week. wierd, huh? that's just me!

I usually weigh about every other day. I'd go nuts if I weighed every day and saw the scale going up and down.

HI, OK I admit I am a daily weigher. Each morning after I exercise I get on the scale. I find it actually helps me. I am not one that gets upset when the scale go up. I just know that I am going to have days that I will gainand when I do it just keeps me on track for the day and when I have a weight loss and feel extra good.

I find I sometimes get mixed up for how much I have lost for the week because I do weigh daily so I am now writing it down on my calender when it changes up or down.

I know this does not work for everyone and I use to work for Weight Watchers as a Lecturer/Leader many years ago and we always told everyone to only weigh once a week. But then here I am trying to loose again after having been to my goal weight at least 15 times. We all know better but we also love to eat.

Hi herbnjod,

I weigh in every day. But, I plot my weight over the month. I slowly gain over the month so, I know if I gain little or nothing I'll lose when I weigh on "the day." I claim a real gain or loss only on a monthly baises.

I learned my cycle when I was in WW. I would lose big two weeks, some one week and little or nothing the fourth. It helps to know why when you've "been so good" with no loss.

When home I weigh every morning but count it only on weigh-in Thursdays.

When away for a few days or on vacations. I don't weigh (except at the river)

After I come back from a cruise or a longer

vacations I don't weigh for awhile. Know it will be up, so wait awhile, so it will go down some. So won't be a "shock"! icon_biggrin.gif

Every morning, first thing (well...almost!) I get on the scale. I have been doing this forever, it seems. I have slowly watched myself gain 20 pounds since I am married (almost 30 years). I know I can never weigh what I weighed then. I don't even want to ....but I would like to see that "2" in the middle again!!!

I started out weighing everyday. I became so obsessive with the scale that it was driving me nuts. Finally I had someone hide it and weighed every Thursday. Since my cruise I am back to weighing everyday. icon_frown.gif

I weigh every morning when I get up, also without clothing. The weight has now been the same for about 11 weeks. Starting to wonder if the scale has a set point or is that me? Hmmmm....

I just find it very defeating when the scale goes up, even a lb or sometimes stays the same...I measure for that reason---I lost 2.25 in. in 3 weeks, but the scale didn't budge. Scales are evil icon_smile.gif haha...anyway, I do notice that the middle of my cycle I weigh more, anyone else notice?
