Evening activities

Our ship will be in port from noon until 10pm. We're probably going to go to Passion Island once we arrive, which should get us back around 6pm. (If we don't go there, we'll likely find some other beach, and it seems like most of those shut down around 5pm anyway from what I've read on here.) Wondering what we can do from 6pm-10pm--it's on a Saturday, and this isn't really a bar-hopping group. Will shops be open? Is it pretty safe to walk around downtown at night?

Perfectly safe but which pier are you at? It will make a difference as to what is close or what will need a taxi.

Plenty of bars, shops and restaurants in town and a few bars/restaurants south of International.try and eat at a sea front restaurant on west side for sunset dinner.

Also new planetarium near International but I haven’t been.

Not 100% accurate (always subject to change) but looks like Puerta Maya so you would need a taxi to and from town.
