Puerto Rico Bioluminescent Bays

Recommended Posts

We'll be going to San Juan a day early for our Late March/early April cruise. My sister just told me to make sure I visit one of the bioluminescent bays. I knew nothing about them and googled. They look fascinating. I've tried to see if they are in decent shape after the hurricanes, but the only information I can find is news stories saying that they might be adversely affected by Maria. Does anyone know if it's worthwhile to try to go see one in March?

I guess I’m the only one interested in this. In case anyone else is interested I just heard a story on the radio (December 27) that the Mosquito Bay bioluminescent bay is slowly recovering. They said it’s about a “2 on a scale of 10”
