I emailed the hotel and got back the following reply:

"We currently do not offer day passes. To use the pool/beach you must be a guest at the hotel. If you would like to come tour, play in the casino, retail shop or eat at our many food and beverage space you do not need to be a guest."

I would love to eat at the restaurant called the Palms which someone recommended. I will take my email with me in case they ask me to leave.

According to the website, the PALMS is not open to the public.

Here's the listing of where you are and are not welcome

Doesn't look like any of the outdoor restaurants allow non-guests

Last June, we walked the entire property and even changed into swimwear at the restroom by the outdoor restaurant. We ventured down to the beach and actually left the property BUT we had friends that stayed by the main pool and ordered drinks. They were never asked to leave and never claimed to be staying at the property. Perhaps they were lucky or perhaps they looked the part or perhaps the hotel didn't care as long as they were spending money. I'm heading back in three weeks and will report back on my experience.

Correct. The main casino area is open to the public, including the restaurants located there. The security guard is at the door to the pool, and they are also at the entrance from the beach back to the pool area - in other words, pool area is guests only. The palms is by the pool and hotel guests only. Could try asking and see if they will let you, but not a guarantee.

Its not hard to find a way into the pool area and skip security. Go through Churchills for example. But I wouldn't count on it.

We are getting a room for our trip next year so we can play by the rules and just enjoy it.

1. The casino is awesome! Stayed there right when it first opened, while you could tell the dealers were new, they were all very friendly and very appreciative to have guests.

2. The airstream by the pier was our go to spot...not much was open, but it was beach front, great prices

3. Cab or bus either way you're good to get there.

4. Tables were always open

  • 3 weeks later...

Just back from a Nassau cruise and visited Baha Mar again. Just like in June 2017 (my first visit) there was never a problem for my girlfriend and I to go into the shops, partake of the casino, go through any door to get to the pool/beach, grab towels, pay for drinks at the bar with a credit card (no need for a room key and they don't accept cash) and go on and off property. I think a big part of this is how you look and act. If you're lugging around Carnival beach towels and walking with a large "I LOVE CRUISING" tote bag, you'll may get stopped. Otherwise, we've walked by many staff members who were nothing other than happy to have anyone there.

I wouldnt count on this. You pulled it off, great. Last time I stayed at Baha Mar as a guest, they were militant about checking cards. At the door to the pool, at the entrance coming back from the beach, towel stations especially. All it takes is management in the team meeting to remind everyone to check cards that day, for example.

We were in Nassau 3 weeks ago and stopped at the Daiquiri Shack and Baha Mar while on a private tour. We walked through the casino and around the grounds. It is really a gorgeous place and we hope to go back in the future and rent a room to use the pool. We didn’t eat there because we already had made other plans but there looked to be several beautiful options including The Palms.

The Palms:

Takeaway Shack:

Airstream with a Kansas City sandwich [emoji846]. Unfortunately, it was closed the afternoon we were there due to high winds.

The Swimming Pig is really expensive and is probably the worst restaurant at the property.

Where was this airstream? In front? The one by the pier is pink and serves Mexican food.

If you take the interior corridor past The Swimming Pig there are doors leading outside. Walk towards the ocean with the pool on your left and The Palms on your right. Continuing on towards the ocean, will first pass the Takeaway booth and then the gold and white lattice designed Airstream will be on your left very close to the ocean ( to the right will be a lifeguard stand).

Interesting. I have a feeling they moved it from the front of the property near the fountain. It wasnt there last time I was at the property and they had one or two up front that were unused.
