6rugrats Posted January 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2018 Read link given. Did you purchase travel insurance that may cover your reason for cancelling?
Jimnbigd Posted January 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2018 One time I have a vacation booked (not a cruise). I was already approved for the vacation days and the trip was paid for. Subsequently my work asked me to stay at work to solve a problem. My work knew about my vacation and reimbursed me what I paid. So, you might check with your work to see if they will reimburse you your out-of-pocket costs if they had already approved your vacation.
lbjen Posted January 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Also check any insurance that may be offered through the credit card you paid with. Our cruise insurance lists work commitments as a covered cancellation reason.
paige228 Posted January 18, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted January 18, 2018 That would be awesome. We are self-employed though! That's so awesome that your company did that. I appreciate the tip!
